Emma Watson Is NOT Retiring, Save The Tributes For Later
News about Emma Watson retiring took everyone by surprise this week after daily mail claimed her agent revealed that the actress well known for her role in Harry Potter has gone ‘dormant’. There were many speculations about her reasons why and fans even started celebrating her work after finding out that she is retiring. Turns out she isn’t retiring after all. We tell all. After Daily Mail reported the news on 21 February, that Emma Watson’s career is now “dormant” and she will be taking a step back from acting to focus on her relationship with her rumoured fiancé Leo Robinton many thought he may have something to do with this. Though she has not actually confirmed that they are engaged either, the two are thought to be pretty serious and have been dating for the last 18 months. Not only that but the two have supposedly made a fortune from selling legal cannabis in LA. Now when people typically make a fortune many do want to sit back and retire. So this theory does seem plausible but was never confirmed. This then sparked an online celebration of Emma Watson’s work and she started trending on Twitter with fans being pretty heartbroken and wishing her well for the future. The 30-year-old actress is most known for her role in "Harry Potter" film franchise based on J.K. Rowling's novels. Her role Hermoine Granger in the 2001 movie of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” marked her acting debut. She went on to star in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, “The Bling Ring” and even “Beauty and the Beast”. Her most recent role was in 2019 as Meg March, one of the four sister’s in Little Women. After finding out the so called “news”, one twitter user wrote; Another wrote; "Emma Watson Retiring is something very personal to every Potterhead. No I will not be Getting Over this!!" While another tweeted, "The 1st Crush You will always be my Hermione Granger and thanks for everything, Emma Watson! MY forever and EVER QUEEN #EmmaWatson @EmmaWatson." Now her manager Jason Weinberg, at Untitled Entertainment, has shot back saying that she is not retiring. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jason said in a statement, "Emma's social media accounts are dormant but her career isn't." according to an article posted on 25 February. With the fresh update from her manager, one Twitter user urged fans to stop paying tributes. He wrote, "Emma Watson isn't retiring guys, stop sharing your Harry Potter scene shots. #EmmaWatson." Sounds like one rumour or misinterpretation of words went too far, but good to have some of her work resurfaced and remembered.
