Zooey Deschanel is known for her signature bangs and they definitely suit her but the New Girl star decided it was time she showed people what she would look like without her bangs.
On Friday the 41 year old shared a mirror selfie with her hair parted in the middle which she captioned with
“Proof I have a forehead. For all the doubters…”
Along with the picture she shared a meme which read:
"Seeing Zooey Deschanel without bangs and glasses, I finally got how nobody knew Clark Kent was Superman."
The actress added, “This photo reminded me of this meme..LOL.”
Fans responded with;
Zooey claims she has had the bangs since she was 2 and told Glamour in 2013 that she fell in love with the look when "the stylist lopped off the front of my waves into girly, face-framing fringe."
She also claimed that the bangs were deliberate to make her be memorable in the world of acting.
"When I first got into acting, I was a bit of a chameleon and just wasn't recognizable. So I used my look to help create an identity. Now people know me as the girl with bangs," Deschanel explained.
"I've tried growing out my bangs a few times, but it's never stuck. They've been styled into all sorts of shapes and lengths. Now I'm very specific about how they look and feel."
We have to admit she does look unrecognisable, the without bangs look is definitely more sophisticated but there is also something sweet and charming about her look with the bangs. Tell us what you think.
