Was Salena Gomez the reason for Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich's break-up?

Demi Lovato's fans will be disappointed to learn that she and her fiancé Max Ehrich have reportedly ended their two-month engagement. The reason is not yet known but there are rumours of tension according to newspaper outlets People and E! News.

"It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers," said People's source. "They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together."

There have been question marks over Max’s intentions towards Demi and her friends have been allegedly suspicious. The one big giveaway was when Demi's sister Dallas Lovato and her good friend Matthew Scott Montgomery both unfollowed Max on Instagram.

Until this month there hadn't been any public reports of trouble between Demi and Max, but last week Demi called out tweets from Max that supposedly professed his love for her former friend Selena Gomez and said they were fake.

"It's really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other. If women have conflict that's between them NOT YOU," she wrote, later adding, "Yes, it's easier to tear apart celebrities and their relationships because 2020 sucks and scares the shit out of us all but it's only gonna stay terrifying until we address it all and WORK ON SOLUTIONS TOGETHER."

Neither Demi nor Max have commented on the breakup publicly. They have however continued to post on their stories, Demi posted a video of herself getting ready wearing a “DOGS OVER PEOPLE” shirt while Max posted a religious quote? Is it strange behaviour or simply showing people they are getting on their day to day life? What do you think?
