Being labelled ugly is not easy to handle and though fame requires a thick skin, as Kendall Jenner reminded everyone, people are human with feelings.
On Saturday May 8th Sydney Sweeney took to Instagram to show exactly what being labelled ugly could do. The 23 year old Euphoria actress went live on Instagram to react to the trending twitter.
“I would never actually do this, like ever, but I think it’s really important for people to see how words actually affect people,” Sydney said through tears. “And I know everyone says ‘you can’t read things, you shouldn’t read things,’ but I’m a f–king person.”
“People need to be nicer on social media because it’s really f–ked up,” Sydney added.
Shortly after the video was posted, people did finally come to her defense.
“Why is everyone so comfortable with body shaming sydney sweeney? how insecure do you have to be to log onto twitter and mass tell somebody that they only have one attractive feature? she’s so pretty get a f–king life,” one fan wrote.
Another tweeted, “y’all are so rude to sydney sweeney it’s insane. this girl has the biggest heart and she is an angel on earth. the internet disgusts me sometimes”
“Sad” one more wrote.
We have to agree she is certainly not ugly and the way a person looks really is not in their control. Sure she is famous and an actress but there is no pre-requisite that you have to be attractive to be famous. Hard work and dedication can get you the same results, maybe…
