Today, we will talk about Victoria Beckham, she is stylish, beautiful even at 46, married to an ex-footballer, the handsome David Beckham and has 4 children.
She rose to fame as posh spice in Spice Girls. For those that don’t know, Spice Girls is a British pop group which was a huge success between 1996 – 2000 when they decided to break up but then reunited a couple of times. There were 5 spice girls in total and everyone wanted to be one of them. There was Posh Spice, Sporty spice, Baby Spice, Scary Spice and Ginger spice. A bit of a strange categorisation but it worked back then.
Victoria getting Posh as her name wasn’t just to do with trying to throw someone in the mix, she actually came from an affluent family in Hertforshire and wanted to become a dancer.
Apparently she was given the posh title because of her “refined attitude, form-fitting designer outfits, such as little black dresses, and her love of high-heeled footwear.” This is a quote from a spicegirls fandom page so might be a bit biased.
Perhaps what is more attributable to her fame is the fact that she started dating David Beckham in 1997 and became the most photographed women in the world. She used that to build her own brand consisting of clothing, perfume and sunglasses which she is perhaps more well known for now.
She launched her own jeans called VB Rocks for the Rock & Republic brand in 2004, a book in 2006 which the eye catching title of “That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between” before her own sunglasses dVD Eyewear and then in 2008 her own line of clothing, bags, perfume. Her style is clean, simple and beautiful. She is known for saying "Everything that I design I would wear myself," In 2011, she was even named Designer of the Year by the British Fashion Awards.
She has done various other things like model for Emporio Armani underwear, penned an autobiography called Learning to Fly.
According to celebrity net worth she has a net worth of around $450m, since spice girls is still around some of it comes from that among various other sources of income. Unfortunately her clothing line hasn’t turned around a profit since it was launched in 2008 raising questions around whether it is just a vanity project.
Regardless of that, she is still a beautiful, successful woman with a net worth that many only dream of and her clothing brand is well respected all around the world.
