Seems like Piers Morgan has moved on from Meghan Markle to Demi Lovato and he pretty much called her "dumb" and "deluded" after she called out The Bigg Chill frozen yogurt shop for being a diet vulture.
First, let’s just recap what happened. Over the weekend Demi posted the following;
“Finding it extremely hard to order froyo from @thebiggchillofficial when you have to walk past tons of sugar free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter. Do better please. #DietCultureVultures”
Demi being the kind of person she is thought she should take it further and actually start a movement and thought she would call out companies for promoting diet menus over everything else.
The Bigg Chill actually responded to Demi in her messages, and they explained that those menu items she was pointing out are alternatives for diabetics, customers with Celiac disease, vegans and a host of others who might prefer those options.
The organisation wrote;
“We are not diet vultures. We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years. We are sorry you found this offensive.”
This prompted Demi to accuse them of terrible service;
“Not just that. Your service was terrible. So rude. The whole experience was triggering and awful. You can carry things for other people while also caring for another percentage of your customers who struggle DAILY just to even step foot in your store. You can find a way to provide an inviting environment for all people with different needs. Including eating disorders – one of the deadliest mental illnesses only second to opios overdoses. Don’t make excuses, just do better. “
Piers Morgan decided to get involved and call out Demi and pretty much implied she was dump and deluded. On 19 April he tweeted.
One user attacked Piers for his post writing;
Seems like Demi was trying too hard to justify unhealthy eating but people were clearly not having it.
