"No One Asked For This" but Cazzie David has revealed what she has gone through when her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson allegedly dumped her over a text in her new essay collection, "No One Asked For This."
In the essay she also pointed out some facts she noticed during those 24 hours like him covering up his tattoos of her, and publicly starting a whirlwind relationship with Ariana Grande.
Day after the comedian dumped her; the 26-year-old was travelling to Washington D.C. to celebrate her sister's college graduation and browsing through Instagram proved to be a terrorizing experience for the heart broken, as ex Pete had uploaded a photograph and literally tried to cancel her existence by purposely covering several of the tattoos that he'd gotten dedicated to her.
"My name, which had been written in cursive across his ring finger, was now covered with black ink," she said, adding that he'd also replaced a tattoo of her favorite emoji with a cloud — Grande's favorite emoji.
"And that is the exact moment when all emojis were ruined forever and I began living in a 'Black Mirror' episode," David wrote.
She also noticed that Pete was wearing someone else's hair tie around his wrist, a gesture he used to do with her so that he could "wear a piece" of her.
When people stop communicating after a break up, stalking and assuming things is common and obviously it does not help anyone. She has done no different as she started thinking Pete wore the hair tie for her to notice.
"I felt like I was being terrorized," she wrote. "Did he want me to take note of the hair tie? Or was he just repeating everything I'd thought had made our relationship special with someone else one day later?"
Sounds like a sad story but after breakups if you sneak into your exes life, disappointment is obvious, the break up over text would have definitely left her with many questions but what is she expecting now after two years of the incident by writing essays and expressing what she went through.
Though after the breakup they never got back together and instead transformed their past romantic relationship to “just friends”, may be with a hope of getting back together in the future.
David even included a note to the comedian in the acknowledgments.
"Pete. I love you. Thank you for being encouraging when you did not have to be. Your bravery inspires me and your friendship means the world to me," she wrote.
Well it seems she was madly in love with Pete and even now she has some feelings but the fact is after his break up with Ariana Grande, Pete did not come get back with Cazzie. Ok its love, it has to be complicated. What do you think, though "No One Asked For This", was it really needed?
