Everyone loves US politics, it really is like watching a drama, everyone is on the edge of their seat wanting to find out what next.
This week it was Nancy Pelosi's hair that took centre stage. On Monday Nancy Pelosi had a hair cut and was seen with a mask around her neck rather than on her face.
Video footage obtained by Fox News showed Nancy Pelosi walking in to eSalon SF on Monday. A stylist who was wearing a mask was shown following her.
You may be wondering, Trump doesn't wear a mask so why is this an issue? Well the issue is more the hypocrisy, she has always stated her stance to be that masks should be mandatory in public places. Not only this but not doing so is against her home state's rules.
Of course what comes next is what you would typically expect in any drama, Nancy Pelosi claims it was a set-up, however the Salon owner, Erica Kious says she has always had cameras in place. In a conversation with Tucker Carlson she also denies it being a set-up.
Tucker Carlson asked;
“Can you prove that this wasn’t a diabolical set up designed to bring down the speaker of the House by blow drying her hair?”
Erica responded by explaining;
“Pelosi had called a stylist in, or her assistant did and made the appointment, so the appointment was already booked, so there was no way to set that up.
She said:
“I’ve had a camera system in there for five years. I mean I didn’t go in there and turn cameras on as soon as she walked in and set her up. So that is absolutely false.”
She has further added;
“I just thought about my staff and people not being able to work and make money and provide for their families, and if she is in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down?”
The Salon owner has also been getting death threats, hate messages and bad reviews as a result of the incident causing her to reconsider whether she wants to remain open.
The person who runs your country is a serious decision, Americans must have a pretty touch time figuring out the bad guys from the good ones.
