Country music star Morgan Wallen is no longer the musical guest on this week's 'SNL' and he has confirmed over Instagram that the Saturday Night Live (SNL) Show has informed him of going ahead without his appearance on upcoming SNL.
But What Did Morgan Wallen Do Last Weekend?
According to the video the main reason he was pulled off from the show was him breaking the Covid-19 protocol.
Several reports claimed that the singer had been partying last weekend without a mask and was paying no heed to the social distancing guidelines from the CDC
New York Times reported that several TikTok videos were posted online that featured Morgan celebrating in Tuscaloosa after a football victory by the University of Alabama. In these clips, the 27-year-old singer was seen drinking shots, kissing fans and also mingling in large groups without a mask.
In the video, the singer went on to address his actions from last weekend and stated;
“I’m not positive for COVID but my actions this past weekend were pretty shortsighted and they have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams. I respect the show’s decision because I know that I put them in jeopardy, and I take ownership of this.”
Though SNL' honcho Lorne Michaels has promised a future gig, Morgan says the ordeal has made him reflect on some areas of his personal life.
After multiple clips emerged on different social media platforms the country singer came under fire for his irresponsible behavior during the pandemic, maybe that is what drew the show members attention.
Morgan has decided to hibernate for a while and his plan is to introspect his actions and work on making himself better. Let’s hope he does better next time.
