You may not want to get on the wrong side of Mike Tyson, unless of course you want your ear chewed off and no this is not a joke. That is exactly what you should expect especially if you are about to enter a fight with him as Jones Jr. is on Saturday night.
News is making the rounds with a video showing Mike Tyson slicing an “ear” of a Jones lookalike, thankfully it wasn’t a real person, just a turkey sculpture of Jones Jr. Cracking a joke while he carved the Turkey he said “Tastes so much better than Evander's,” referring of course to the time when he did actually take bite of Evander Holyfield’s ear during their fight in 1997.
While of course this is supposedly just a bit of humour there is a serious message from Tyson, the two have been vowing to knock each other other out in this fight.
While of course Tyson has compiled a 50 – 6 record in his career, he actually hasn’t fought since June 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride and soon after left the sports saying he “did not have the guts to be in this sport any more.”
His last win was actually Clifford Erienne in Feb 2003. Jones on the other hand has 66 – 9 record with 47 kockouts and his last fight was Feb 2018.
While Tyson may not have had the guts back then, he clearly has them now. Watch out Jones, he is coming for you and a word of advice watch out for the ears.
