Undoubtedly Meghan Markle had the wedding that many dream of, but the series of events that followed after her wedding with Harry proves she believes in living on her own terms. It seems she had issues with the Royal set up and she is feeling liberated making her own choices Post Megxit.
Yes, talking to Oprah Winfrey in a highly anticipated interview with Harry by her side, Meghan has confirmed, she feels “liberated” to finally be able to make choices for herself post-Megxit.
A glimpse of the tell-all with Oprah was teased on CBS-This Morning Where Oprah was seen recalling her effort to catch up with Meghan in early 2018 before the royal wedding.
“And finally, we get to sit down and have this conversation,” Winfrey said in the interview which will air in full Sunday at 8 p.m. on “Oprah with Meghan And Harry: A Primetime Special” on CBS.
“Well, I remember that conversation very well,” Markle replied. “I wasn’t even allowed to have that conversation with you personally, right.”
Making her sharp attack on the Royal decorum Meghan said it “wasn’t the right time” making Oprah spontaneously curious as she countered Meghan asking “What is right about this time?”
After a lengthy and dramatic pause, Meghan replied, “Well, so many things. That we’re on the other side of a lot of life experience that’s happened. And also that we have the ability to make our own choices in a way that I couldn’t have said yes to you then. That wasn’t my choice to make.
“So, as an adult who lived a really independent life to then go into this construct that is different than I think what people imagine it to be, it’s really liberating to be able to have the right and the privilege in some ways to be able to say yes.”
“And to say it for yourself,” Oprah added.
“I’m ready to talk. To say it for yourself,” Markle replied.
Winfrey’s interview with ex royals Markle and Harry also is expected to touch on sensitive topics like racism and mental health, and we can definitely expect first hand details on what drove the couple to famously quit Buckingham Palace last year as there has been a lot of rumor and speculations, it is best for the couple to speak for once and let all the rumors rest in peace.
