For those that think Justin Bieber wronged Selena with his whole approach to ending his relationship with her only to move on to marrying Hailey Baldwin, now Hailey Bieber, shortly after may take some comfort in his acknowledgement that he ‘overlooked’ women issues in the past.
Though he wasn’t specifically addressing the Selena issue he did take time to reflect on his past thoughts and actions and shared his feelings in an Instagram post on Monday 8th March during International Women’s Day.
“I know I have been naive and haven’t been empathetic toward women in the past. And have overlooked their struggles,” he wrote.
“I am learning everyday beside my wife as I see all of the struggles she faces that I will never have to face. I am committed to being better and more aware of the struggles women face that men never will!!”
He called women “superheroes” who “deserve to be celebrated today and every day.”
Seems like the 27 year old has come a long way and is becoming more mature, perhaps Hailey Bieber was a positive influence on him afterall.
Earlier this year, on the 7 year anniversary of his 2014 arrest for drag racing and a DUI in Miami he opened up about how far he had come. Writing on Instagram he said;
“7 years ago today I was arrested, not my finest hour. Not proud of where I was at in my life. I was hurting, unhappy, confused, angry, mislead, misunderstood and angry at God,”
“All this to say God has brought me a long way.”
Back when he was arrested he was ordered to donate $50k to charity and complete 12 hours of anger management classes. As he reflected back, he told fans to let the past be a “reminder” of how far they have come. Good advice Justin.
Definitely sounds like this heart throb has gone from being lost in his ways to having found himself. Tell us what you think?
