Ellen DeGeneres has been at the centre of controversy recently being labelled the meanest person people know. Former staff members have come forward speaking of the toxic work culture and many resurfaced interviews are showing how she has been mean to many celebrities.
One unlikely bond she may have made was one with Meghan Markle but even she is not immune to Ellen’s meanness who took a “He could’ve got a million dollars” snub at her, unearthed accounts show according to the express.
In a segment on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she makes reference to Meghan’s appearance on the US Version of Deal or No Deal, she explained that Meghan was the holder for Case 24 referring to a suitcase full of cash on the gameshow before making a brutal joke “which means if Harry had picked the other model, he could’ve gotten a million dollars!”
Meghan and Ellen supposedly bonded in 2012 after an encounter at a pet shelter when she encouraged Meghan to take the dog home. Meghan explains; “She walks outside to get into her car but instead of getting in, she turns around and comes and taps on the window glass. “She yells ‘Take the dog! And so I brought him home. Because Ellen told me to”.
Ellen points out to her studio audience that she doesn’t even remember the story but Meghan does and she “obviously does whatever I tell her to do!” she says. before requesting an invite to the Royal wedding. “And instead of plus-one, I want plus-400. I want all these people to come”.
Despite Ellen’s request, needless to say she did not get one. Clearly Meghan doesn’t do as she is told.
