What a sad day for the fans of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as they have lost their third child following weeks of pregnancy complications that led to Chrissy being hospitalized. The couple has used social media to make the news public by posting a grieving picture of Chrissy in black and white.
Chrissy has written a long caption starting with;
"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before,"
Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Hailey Beiber and Paris Hilton shared her pain by writing heartfelt comments over the post.
But it was rest of the internet that was divided over how Chrissy Teigen decided to grieve.
While it was unanimous that the loss was sad, Chrissy's method of communicating the loss was considered distasteful by some. Instead of grieving privately, Chrissy chose to instead take pictures and posted it online moments after the loss which had people claiming it was an attempt at publicizing her loss. Only those who have faced a similar loss would understand the true pain.
A user writes:
"Ohhh I just don't know how to react.. I feel sad for your loss but I also feel weird seeing the photo op and as many pointed out nurse in the background, filter, trying to make a perfect picture?"
Another user writes :
"I never thought I would cry over an absolute stranger losing a child, but seeing your face in that photo absolutely breaks my heart. Love you, Chrissy. I am so sorry."
A user came in support of Chrissy and justified her posting a picture by writing;
"Too many people have to many opinions. This woman, this family are going through the most horrendous time and people are being this mean about a picture? Looks to me as if she’s ready for an epidural ready for labour, everyone takes pictures when your in labour
Some things are better kept private. It creates mystery and holds a person back from judging another person quickly. No one is perfect.. sending love"
Another tweet;
"I do not understand loosing my child, hysterically crying and having my photo taken of it. Maybe I’m weird."
The discussion over the picture has infinite comments. It was reassuring to see everyone was sad over the news and sent love and strength to Chrissy and John though they were divided over the public display of grievance, and we feel if they would have taken the baby boy as a healthy kid back home, everybody would have celebrated and would not have questioned why she is sharing the picture. If the fans are sneaking into the happy moments of celebrities, they should also embrace the sorrow and grief.
The picture also debunk the idea that celebrities have easy life and everything is perfect for them, a lesson to be learnt and we really appreciate Chrissy for her courage to come out strongly with her weak moment. Sending love.
