After two TikTok users called out stars who had contacted them on Raya, one being Nivine Jay who told the world that after declining Ben Affleck as a match, he insisted on pursuing her through Instagram and the other being Kate Harlason who tried to expose Matthew Perry for pursuing a 19 year old, Chrissy Teigen has spoken out bashing both women.
“It’s tacky to release private messages. Ya both wrong, congrats,” Chrissy, 35, tweeted on Thursday.
She also spoke out against Ben Affleck and Matthew Perry calling the videos creepy and desperate.
“I agree celebs shouldn’t be making these creepy desperate video replies on Raya,” Chrissy said.
Perhaps a follow up message from Ben Affleck asking why he was unmatched
by Nivine could be considered presumptuous of Ben who probably assumed that someone who is not as well known as him should be interested. Maybe he isn’t used to getting rejected.
As for Matthew Perry, no chasing was done as far as we know following the initial message. So either he realised Kate Harlasan was too young for him and rejected her or she did not pursue it and he respected her decision. So desperation for attentions seems to be more from her part.
Either way, these two ladies may well have destroyed the reputation of Raya with many A-list celebrities not wanting to pursue matches through Raya. Sounds like there is a need for an exclusive app which doesn’t allow influencers and C-list celebrities.
