Cardi B is everywhere these days and she is a true rag to riches inspiration, proving to the rest of the world that if you really want something you can have it. You just have to figure out ways to get it.
Stripping
The 27 year old started her success story at an Amish food market in TriBeCa but after being fired was told by her manager she should try a strip club across the road. According to her it wasn’t intended to be in a rude, obnoxious way.
“He was like, ‘You’re so pretty, you got a nice body,'" Cardi told Fader. "He told me to go across the street to New York Dolls, the strip club. That’s when I started stripping.”
She was only 19, and of course no parents want their 19 year old daughter to be stripping so she lied and told her mother she was babysitting.
While most women would have tried to hide their past, Cardi B openly talks about hers and has always said stripping was a true turning point for her. At the time was in an abusive relationship and it was the only way for her to get out.
"I was living with my boyfriend who was beating my ass," she explained in a 2016 interview with VLAD TV. "Stripping gave me my own money to leave him."
Mixtape
Instead of blowing the money, her dream and ambition was always to be a star so she invested the money to make her own mixtape to get her music career off the ground.

She joined VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop’ in season 6 but her mind was always on her music, so left after two seasons to release her second mix tape, sign a multimillion dollar record deal and released well known “Bodak Yellow” her breakout major debut single.

But before she even made it big in the music industry, her no nonsense, say it like it is personality was loved by many and she amassed a huge following. Today she has 75.3 million followers on Instagram alone but Cardi B has always remained true to herself and when asked how it feels, the rapper told W:
"Like, I can't believe they love...me? What's so great about me?"

She is well known for many other songs including "Cheap Ass Weave", "I like It" and "Finesse" which she recorded with Bruno Mars and more recently the well known WAP featuring Meghan Thee Stallion.

Of course with fame, fortune and a huge following come many other perks including being the face of Balenciaga but there is no end to her generosity even if it's sometimes frowned upon.
She has been reported to give her two year old daughter a Hermes Birkin bag worth $8k and gave her husband Offset half a million dollars in cash for his 28th birthday and the best bit, she left in the fridge. There is a reason people love her right?

She also has an obsession with Presidents and supports the democratic party and even featured in a video interview with Biden recently.
Her collective fortune from her music videos and other promotional works makes her net worth $24 million, not bad for someone who was reportedly making $250 a week in the Amish market.
