Billie Eilish looks almost unrecognisable in her new hairstyle. The 19 year old beauty who has carried her signature black and neon green hair since 2017 has not mixed it up until recently when she decided to go blonde.
The entertainer has previously revealed that she was tired of fans making fun of her hair and told fams she would be changing the colour after releasing her doc, The World’s a Little Blurry.
Taking to Instagram on 17 March 2021 Billie Eilish revealed the new hairdo with a simple caption “Pinch me”.
Fans loved the new photo. One fan wrote;
However, not everyone was keen and Billie Eilish actually reportedly lost 100k followers after posting the photo.
Some fans felt perhaps going red would have been better.
Speaking on Instagram last year on 21 December 2020 the singer responded to fan criticism around her green and black hair stating that her green hair is actually a sign that she is doing well mentally.
"This is the longest I've had the same hair color since I was 13 & that's on mental stability and growth leave me alone lsjdkksjdjs😭😭😭," she wrote.
"It's called not being depressed anymore pls just be happy for me," she added.
She went on to half jokingly ask fans to stop making fun of her hair and to let her live.
"I'm fucking making you an album! I will not put it out if you keep making fun of my hair," she said in one clip on her Insta story.
The singer then casually revealed that she'll be changing her hair after the release of her upcoming documentary, The World's A Little Blurry, which came out on Apple TV+ in February
