Some of you may be wondering what inspired Billie Eilish to go blonde. Afterall the green hair was unique and one of the reasons for her huge fan base.
On Tuesday May 11 Billie made a surprise appearance to explain her hair on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The 19 year old first appeared as a virtual guest on the show and later had Ellen join her for an interview. During the interview Ellen asked her about her huge transformation and what made her want to go blonde.
“I’ve been wanting it blonde for a while. I don’t know what came over me. I saw a fan edit when I had green hair. It was like me, with whatever hair color I had, and they just edited blonde hair on me and I was like, ‘Ah! So sick! I want it!’” Billie said.
She continued, “So I kind of thought of it as a dream. I didn’t think it was going to happen because my hair has been through so much. I thought I would burn it all off if I tried, but I did it!”
Billie said it took about six weeks to fully go blonde, adding that her first appointment was on January 16.
Of course with her blonde hair fans also saw a new side to her and instead of her usual oversized clothes she has been showing her figure more than usual. Recently she also did a cover for British Vogue wearing stunning lingerie inspired by a “classic, old-timey pin-up” look.
The look brought in over 1 million likes and in the caption she thanked the “british vogue team for respecting my vision and making this come to life.”
She looked beautiful but we have to say we did like the green hair and the unique personality it gave her. At the same time the blonde does bring along a certain level of maturity.
