New year, new start and what a better way to start than by throwing out trash and having a clear out. After announcing her divorce from husband, Karl Glusman on Saturday 2 January, Zoe Kravitz the Big Little Lies actress posted a cryptic message to her Instagram of trash being thrown out, perhaps to signify how she felt about her own relationship. Here is what happened.
The original post, which was shared Saturday on the Spiritually Charged Instagram account, depicts a meme of a drag queen throwing trash in a dumpster. The bag reads;
“people places and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good.” Kravitz added her own commentary to the post, writing: “Mood.”
Many think she was alluding to tossing her estranged husband out like trash. She then went on and continue to post a series of images that included selfies and random images including the moon, fireplace and a rustic tablescape. The captions all read, 'new year. little things.'
On Sunday Glusman unfollowed her, which some believe was after seeing her strange posts. He also cleaned his Instagram deleting all but 2 photos. One of a nature walk which included the caption, '...and as the sun sets on this eye-opening year...,' from last week, and another from January 1 where he posted his bloody leg of him in a doctor's office.
The caption for that image was, 'JAN 1, 2021: 7AM — BUT IM LIKE...'
Days before the news of her separation from Karl went public, Zoe also used Instagram to bid farewell to 2020, writing: 'bye 2020. you f**kin weirdo.' This was coupled with a picture of herself looking somewhat strange as she leaned over the back of the sofa showing only some of her face.
Kravitz was first linked to Glusman in 2016 and got engaged in February 2018, which she confirmed to Rolling stone on October 2018.
“Oh yeah, I’m engaged,” she told the publication. “I haven’t told anyone yet — I mean, I haven’t told the world. I wanted to keep it private.”
The two were married for less than two years before a break-up was announced by representatives on Saturday. Except the Instagram posts neither have spoken out publicly about the breakup.
Clearly Zoe is struggling to move on judging by her behaviour and appears to be pretty angry at Glusman if she is comparing him to trash as people are indicating. Glusman also appears to have taken the drastic step of completely wiping her off his Instagram. Safe to say whatever happened this relationship ended pretty badly. Tell us what you think?
